Supply Chain Management Techs are responsible for the receipt, storage, accountability, and distribution of all equipment and supplies held in stock and/or requested by the medical center. They monitor and assure that an adequate level of supplies and patient care equipment are maintained within the Materials Department and appropriate par level supply storage areas. The Supply Chain Management Techs have an extensive career ladder that allows motivated employees to progress through 4 different levels of responsibility and compensation.

Surgical Supply Technician assists with the day-to-day responsibilities of the supply chain work in Inventory and Logistics. This position handles material stock requests and counts and puts away supplies for business unit to guarantee accuracy of reorder points and reorder quantities to support on-hand inventory. High School graduate required; previous hospital work or mechanical experience preferred. Good communication skills are desired and basic computer skills are required. Must be able to be bonded at Hospital expense.

Per Diem and Full-time shifts available.
Working with customers and other Supply Chain team members the Supply Chain Specialist will facilitate product or equipment evaluations, conversions, and staff training. This position will provide guidance, track and on-going support for employee training and act as secondary contact for departmental directives for all issues and concerns related to the supply chain department. Prepares statistical summaries and reports from MMIS involving purchase history, usage, expense, and departmental spend performance management and other data to include vendor analysis and item data integrity.
A Bachelor’s degree in related field of study preferred. Three (3) years of previous purchasing experience is required; experience in healthcare setting is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. A demonstrated proficiency with DH’s Enterprise Resource Planning System (PeopleSoft) will be required within three (3) months of employment. APICS, CMRP or similar purchasing certification is preferred.
